Jenny and Eric were married on May 28th, with a ceremony and reception at the Hotel Emma in San Antonio.
I was excited for Jenny and Eric to come down to Texas from New York for their big day, since we had discussed beforehand how much their wedding photography meant to them. They wanted to be sure we had the time for the best possible pictures, and they did a stellar job of planning out their day around that desire. It always makes my job as a photographer so much easier when I have couples like this who understand how important it is to capture those images. I absolutely loved how willing they were to run with creative suggestions to get great pictures. Planning a destination wedding can be difficult, but these two totally pulled it off.
On the day of the wedding itself, I met up with Jenny to capture some images of her getting ready before a beautiful first look. Their San Antonio wedding was small and intimate, with just 60 guests of close friends and family, which meant I could focus on the smaller, more personal interactions. One of my favorites was when I caught the flower girl looking up at Jenny’s dress. It was such a beautiful moment of a little girl and her dreams. And Jenny truly looked like a princess in her gown.
I also loved the details that were poured lovingly into this wedding—like the cutest pink lemonade stand Jenny had set out for the guests before the ceremony. Even though it was only May, in Texas, it already felt like summer outside, so it was much appreciated.
Part of being a photographer and shooting weddings every weekend is the quest to make sure every bride and groom feel both relaxed and special on their wedding day. But with Jenny and Eric, they were already so naturally joyful and lost in the moments. The look in their eyes when they looked at each other clearly showed they were truly in love and enjoying every bit of their wedding day.
Eric & Jenny, it was an honor to be part of your wedding day. Thank you for asking me to be your destination wedding photographer!
